Good news! We took the van in for a second opinion earlier this week and it's a good thing we did. They pulled the motor out, removed the transmission, and voila! It was a broken flywheel. Cost $830 to fix but that beats the price of a new engine or a new car. It's good to have my van back. Now if it was only warm enough to wash it...

I love you, Poets, I really do. Jesus Fricken' Christ on a pogo stick, this is fantastic! The Carnival of Rust music video was remastered and reposted on youtube and I love it more than ever before. The detail! Augh! You can actually see the stellar makeup on the lead singer and the celloists, you can actually tell at first glance that they only have one arm each, and you can read the stall signs. After jumping hurdles to get re-enrolled in UNO for their graduate program, I have finally been accepted and have signed up for my class in the fall (it wasn't full!). While I'm thinking I'll wish I'd never gotten into that class, and swimming in a pool full of tarantulas is better than going to graduate school, I am very happy.

All that's left (pretty much) is to make a few appointments - one with my UNO advisor and one with my UNL advisor - to figure out my course of study. I'm deathly afraid I'm going to flunk out of graduate school or it's going to be too overwhelming for me (both thoughts that keep me up at night) but I've gotta try. I can worry about what to do about failing when I fail, I guess... poop.

I'm typing this now because I'm tired of texting and being interrupted ninety gajillion times (and a fair bit of you I just contacted will check LJ within the next 24-48 hours even if you don't respond here *glare*). I want to stop by AMC tomorrow after work to PICK UP tickets for TF2. This is assuming that AMC has a midnight showing (which they most surely will have) and are selling tickets for it. I anticipate the movie to be next week - Tuesday night (aka Wednesday morning - 12:01 am). I'll get tickets for whoever wants them (a lot of you have already said you did) but I expect to be paid back for them.

That said, as of right now I appear to be getting tickets for Jared, Erin, and Rei-chan for sure.

Amy, I wasn't sure if you were interested in this sort of thing so I didn't text you. If you want to go, let me know and I can pick up one for you too.

It's an indie rock group from Finland and they're my new favorite band. I found this song looking through Silent Hill stuff - namely, a monster called carrion (in the second vid down there). I've listened to a couple of their other songs and I've come to the conclusion that I MUST have all three albums that they have out now. I love their stuff!
